All You Need for NEO Science Olympiad
The Physics category of the NEO Science Olympiad focuses on the study of fundamental principles and concepts in physics. It explores topics related to mechanics, electricity, magnetism, optics, thermodynamics, and modern physics. Participants are challenged with questions that require problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of physical principles. Questions in this category often relate to practical applications of physics in everyday life and in various scientific and technological fields. The questions range from fundamental concepts to more advanced topics. The competition typically includes questions suitable for students at various levels of physics knowledge. The category encourages students to deepen their understanding of physics and pursue further studies in the field. Exam Information: • Grades: 9-11 • Number of Questions: 25 • Exam Format: Online, multiple-choice • Exam Language: English • Exam Fee: $20 The questions will be the same for all grades within each group listed below. However, evaluations will be conducted separately for each grade, and the results will be announced accordingly. • Grades 9-10 • Grade 11 The Qualification Exam in the Physics category is offered on two designated exam dates. Participants may take the exam on either or both dates, with each attempt conducted independently. The Qualification Exam determines participants’ eligibility for the Grand Finals in Orlando and New York, USA. Students who achieve at least 40 points in the Qualification Round advance to the Grand Final in Orlando and New York, USA. The top 3 students in grades 9 to 11 will qualify for exclusive discounts on participation in the Grand Final Program in Orlando and New York, USA, provided they meet all other participation requirements.
